How Long To Oven Cook Chicken Wings
Any day is a good day for roasted chicken wings with a little chilli sauce! Chicken wings are eaten across many different cuisines and a dish loved by so many because of its versatility and simply how delicious it is once it’s marinated and cooked. Chicken wings make a perfect starter to share with family and friends but also makes a great main dish alongside some roasted potatoes and salad.
How Long To Oven Cook Chicken Wings
When cooking it’s always important to remember food safety in order to minimize the risks of food poisoning. According to the FSA it is recommended that chicken is cooked to a temperature of at least 70°C and remained at that temperature for at least 2 minutes before being consumed. So in terms of, how long to oven cook chicken wings we’d say at least 60 minutes to make sure the chicken is cooked right through and at the correct temperature for consumption. A good way to test this is by using a meat thermometer and checking the temperature at the thickest point of the meat.
Roasted Chicken Wings
Ingredients
- 1 kg Chicken Wings
- 2 tbsp Soy Sauce
- 1 tbsp Black Ground Pepper
- 2 tbsp Paprika
- 1 tbsp All Purpose Seasoning
- 1 Fresh Lemon squeezed
- 1 tbsp Fresh Ginger minced
- 2 tbsp Olive Oil
- 1 tbsp Oregano
- 3 tbsp Hoisin Sauce
- ½ Cup Water
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 220°C.
- In a mixing bowl add in soy sauce, ground black pepper, paprika, all purpose seasoning, lemon, olive oil oregano, hoisin sauce and water. Then mix in all the marinade ingredients well.
- Place the chicken in a mixing bowl and add in the marinade mix. Make sure that each chicken piece coated fully with marinade.
- Place the marinated chicken in the oven for 15 minutes at 220°C. Then lower the heat to 180°C for 40 minutes until golden brown and cooked right through.
- Serve with roasted potatoes and salad. Enjoy!
