Best Way To Cook Fresh Trout

Growing up one of our favourite dishes was definitely our Mama’s homemade trout. Trout is very easy to cook and tasty too! It’s also very versatile and overtime have come up with number of delicious recipes using trout and also learned the best way to cook fresh trout.
Best Way To Cook Fresh Trout

Fresh Trout Recipe
Ingredients
- 40 ml Soy Sauce
- 20 ml Mirin
- Fresh Coriander
- 1 tbsp Minced Ginger
- 1 Lime
- 2 tbsp Sesame Oil
- 3 Stalks Spring Onion
- 4 Pieces Trout Chunky trout fillets
Instructions
- Place trout in a shallow oven dish and drizzle 1/2 the lime over the trout. Heat the oven at 100° and place the trout in the oven for 10 minutes.
- Finely chop up the coriander and spring onion ensuring that you separate the stalks from the green leaves. Then add the green leaves into a mixing bowl. Along with the soy sauce, mirin, ginger, sesame oil and squeeze in the remaining 1/2 of the lime.
- Remove crowd from the oven and pour the marinade from the mix onto the trout.
- Increase heat to 180°C and leave in the oven for 10 minutes.
- Enjoy!
What goes well with trout?
Serve this dish with boiled new potatoes with a bit of butter or some nice roast potatoes . Vegetables are also a side to add when eating trout such as, spinach , peas, carrots etc . For this recipe we had it with asparagus which tasted absolutely delicious!
